The F1 in Schools STEM Challenge™ is the world’s foremost student competition for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. More specifically it is an international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) competition for students aged 9-19, competing regionally and nationally, with the best teams winning a place at the F1 in Schools World Finals. The main goal of each team is to design, test, and manufacture the fastest car in the competition. However, this is only a part of the whole project. Not only do we have to raise the money from sponsorships to accomplish the whole project but also draw up two portfolios about engineering and enterprise. Furthermore, other tasks such as design the pit display and promote the team through social media are also included in the project. So we understand that teamwork, time and risk management, innovation productivity are some of the key skills that are required for this project.

This competition is considered one of the more demanding and difficult competitions in its aspect. As a result, the participants have the chance to win scholarships to the most prestigious universities in the world. Moreover, it is a huge advantage for your resume in general. Last but not least throughout the competition kids develop an informed view about careers in engineering, Formula 1, science, marketing, and technology. It is a memorable experience and a great chance to expand your science knowledge. Everyone should give it a try!
